Hannah Fairchild is a singer/songwriter originally of chilly Minnesota, currently of rainy Brooklyn. She prefers the rain.

Hannah moved to New York City in 2005 with the intent of beginning an acting career, but it didn't mesh well with her artistic sensibilities and intense dislke of being bossed around. So after very little premeditation, Hannah spent her 2006 tax return on a guitar and carried it home...in the rain...

In the summer of 2009, Fairchild began work on her debut album, Paper Kingdoms. The album, recorded Bon Iver-style in her Brooklyn apartment, was produced, arranged, and performed entirely by Hannah. The songs on the album explore the chasm between fairy tales and reality, and the way that modern women must become their own heroes.

Hannah gets into as much trouble as she can afford, so as to acquire more material for future songs.
